Admissions

St. George's admits students of all ethnic, cultural, racial, religious and socio-economic backgrounds who possess strong character, personal integrity, academic and intellectual promise, a motivation to succeed, and a willingness to participate in the life of the school.  Admission is based on a student's academic history, personal interview, entrance testing and teacher recommendations.

The admission season at St. George's begins each fall.  We encourage parents to begin the application process as soon as they have decided to consider the school as an option.  Class size is limited.

Please contact our office at 770-358-9432 to schedule a personal school tour or admission evaluation or email us at admissions@sges.org.

St. George's understands that some families require financial aid in order to choose an independent school education for their child.  We have a strong commitment to providing financial aid to students based on a family's demonstrated need as determined by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in Princeton, NJ.  SGES has also partnered with the Georgia GOAL Scholarship program for families wishing to transfer from public to private school or those with children entering Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten. Financial Aid is limited and should be applied for as early as possible.

Beginning in 2008 Georgia law allows individuals and corporations to receive a Georgia income tax credit (and federal income tax deduction) for re-directing their state income tax payments to the Georgia GOAL Scholarship Program. These contributions provide private school scholarships to students who are eligible. Students who are Georgia residents and eligible to enroll in Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten or who are transferring from a public school in Grades 1-8 are eligible to apply for scholarships at SGES through the Georgia GOAL program. Students must meet all SGES admission requirements to be enrolled through the Georgia GOAL program. Please contact the admissions office for more information or click here for an informational power point or visit their website at www.goalscholarship.org .
