$500,000 raised to date!
FoundingSt. George’s Episcopal School is one of our area’s most prestigious independent schools, servicing children from Pre-K3 through 12th grade. The success of our school and our students is the direct result of more than 20 years of change, growth, and hard work. Our growing student body is one of many indicators that positive momentum of SGES is undeniable. Once again, it’s time to make changes to accomodate the needs of our students. We are ready to break ground on something new!
We need your help as we seek to secure a strong, sustainable future for our students. This capital campaign will focus on three key projects that will help us achieve our overall goals.
We will provide state-of-the-art facilities for academics and activities. We aim to build a new high school building where our students will engage in rigorous learning, scientific exploration and vigorous debate. We would also like to provide athletic facilities where our students will compete and learn about teamwork, character, and good sportsmanship. Lastly, our wish is to create outdoor learning areas including a garden and an outdoor classroom.
As our student body grows and the demands on our campus increase, we must recognize our responsibilities to plan for the next 20 years. This campaign calls for strategic planning for our existing 40 acres as well as the purchase of contiguous property. These plans include the development of additional roads and buildings that would ultimately expand the overal campus.
Long-Term Financial Stability:
Our last strategic plan (2012-2017) addressed both a short-term Building Maintenance Fund and an Operating Contingency Fund. This campaign addresses long-term financial goals such as growing our General Endowment and creating Endowed Scholarships.
At St. George’s, we are committed to developing well-rounded, confident, responsible and ambitious leaders. We want our students to ask the right questions, challenge assumptions and seek innovative solutions to problems. To provide the foundation for these future leaders, we need your support for our students to reach their full potential.
