Dr. Collins received his doctorate in educational leadership and policy from Florida State University. He also holds a specialist degree in educational leadership and a master’s degree in history education. Dr. Collins has 23 years of experience in education. He has served the last seven years as the Head of School at SGES.
Jannellen received her degree in Public Relations from the University of Georgia in 1992. She has worked at SGES for 7 years. She and her family live in Barnesville, GA and attend First Baptist Church of Barnesville.
Admissions Director / Art Teacher
Mrs. Thacker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Education from Georgia State University. She has over 14 years of teaching experience at St. George's. In addition to teaching visual art classes, Mrs. Thacker is the Admissions Director for the school.
Ellee received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from Georgia State University and her Master of Business Administration degree from Mercer University. Prior to working at St. George's, she worked for First National Bank of Griffin for 12 years.
Director of the College Counseling Office
Dr. Edwards holds a B.A. degree from Emory University, and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida. She completed her residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She specialized in working primarily with children and families. Dr. Edwards has been involved with St. George’s for over 16 years and is a past parent. She now serves as the Director of the College Counseling Office.
Blake Monts de Oca
Academic Dean / High School English and Spanish
Dr. Monts de Oca earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with specialization in Banking & Finance from the University of Georgia, a Master of Education degree in World Language Education with a specialization in Spanish from UGA, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with specialization in Teacher Education from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Monts de Oca has 12 years of teaching experience and this is his 2nd year at SGES.
Coach Gaylor has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in Education from LaGrange College. Coach Gaylor has six years of teaching experience, and he is beginning his first year at St. George's Episcopal School.
