Lower & Middle School Coordinator/ Middle School Social Studies
Mrs. McDaniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from North Georgia College and State University, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Piedmont College. She has 22 years of teaching experience at St. George's.
Middle School Language Arts / High School English
Ms. Pearson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University. She has 14 years of teaching experience, 10 of which at St. George's.
High School LEADS Advisor/ Registrar
Mrs. Stikes holds a Master's degree in Math from Georgia State University. She previously taught Algebra I and II at Griffin High School as well as a serving as a math tutor here at St. George's. This is her 4th year at St. George's.
Director of the College Counseling Office
Dr. Edwards holds a B.A. degree from Emory University, and a M.A and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of South Florida. She completed her residency at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She specialized in working primarily with children and families. Dr. Edwards has been involved with St. George’s for over 15 years and is a past parent. This is her 2nd year as the Director of the College Counseling Office.
Blake Monts de Oca
Academic Dean / High School English and Spanish
Dr. Monts de Oca earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with specialization in Banking & Finance from the University of Georgia, a Master of Education degree in World Language Education with a specialization in Spanish from UGA, and a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with specialization in Teacher Education from The University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Monts de Oca has 13 years of teaching experience and this is his 3rd year at SGES.
High School Geography and Psychology
Mr. Cook holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Mercer University and Masters and Specialist degrees from Georgia State University in Social Studies Education. He holds Georgia teaching certificates in Economics, Geography, History, Political Science and Psychology. He taught in Fulton County Schools for 31 years and as an adjunct professor at GA State for 15 years. He directed a USDOE Teaching American History Grant for Fulton and has conducted numerous workshops for teachers across the state. This is Mr. Cook's 3rd year at SGES.
High School World History and Advanced Placement U.S. Government & Politics
Dr. Drake holds a B.A. degree from the University of Virginia, M.A. degree from George Peabody College for Teachers, and a Ed.D. from Tennessee State University. He has over 49 years in independent education 40 of those years as a teacher or administrator, and 8 years as the Executive Director of the Georgia Independent School Association. This is his 3rdyear at St. George's.
8th grade Physical Science & High School Chemistry
Mrs. Gordy holds a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Science from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Science in Secondary Science from Auburn University and a Specialist Degree in Secondary Science from Columbus State University. She holds a teaching degree in Georgia in Secondary Science with certifications in Gifted Science and AP Chemistry. She has taught chemistry and physical science in public schools in both Alabama and Georgia for 30 years. She also traveled around the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Texas and Georgia conducting workshops instructing science teachers how to set up and manage student laboratory work. This is her 1st year at St. George’s Episcopal School.
Middle and High School Math (Algebra, AP Calculus, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP Statistics)
Mrs. Hill received a bachelor's degree in textiles from Georgia Tech, a master's in economics from Mercer University, and hold a teaching certificate from the State of Georgia. Mrs. Hill has over 11 years of teaching experience. This is her 3rd year at St. George's Episcopal School.
Middle School Language Arts / High School English
Mrs. Jester holds a Master of Arts degree in Literature from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in English and Psychology from Charleston Southern University. She previously taught a variety of composition, literature, business writing, and psychology courses and served as the Director of Tutoring and Mentoring at Southern Crescent Technical College. This is her sixteenth year teaching and her first year at St. George's.
Lower and Middle School Spanish
Mr. LaRue holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from the University of Virginia. This is his 5th year at St. George’s.
High School Spanish
Dr. Olivier received his bachelor's degree in Spanish Education from Dillard College, a master's degree from the University of Illinois in Spanish Literature, and a doctorate in World Language from Purdue University. He has previously been the Assistant Professor of Spanish and French at Dillard University for 13 years, a part-time instructor of World Literature and French at Southern University in New Orleans for 2 years, and Spanish and French Teacher at Lamar County Comprehensive High School for 21 years. In addition, he was a Spanish Teacher at Griffin's Evening High School for 7 years, and part-time Spanish Teacher at Mary Person's High School, Clayton State University and Gordon State College. This is his 4th year at St. George's.

Mrs. Payton received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from The University of Georgia and holds a teaching certificate from the state of Georgia. Mrs. Payton has over 8 years of teaching experience. This is her 2nd year at St. George’s Episcopal School.
