The SGES Library
The St. George’s Library is an integral part of the educational program and serves as a vital information resource for SGES students, staff, and faculty. Students are encouraged to develop the skills necessary to locate, analyze, evaluate, interpret and communicate ideas and information.
The goals of the SGES Library & Media Center are directed toward enhancing and supporting classroom curriculum and developing informationally literate students who can access and use that information in a productive and appropriate way. This goal is accomplished in four direct support activities for students:
- Learning how to read and reading appreciation
- Learning how to use computers and other media in a safe and responsible way
- Learning how to find, evaluate, and use information
- Learning how to use information to communicate
Support the Library
An easy way to support our library is to participate in our school Birthday Book Club. This is a great way for students and families to be celebrated on their birthday, and for the library to continually receive new books on the shelves for checkout. Our library grows with quality books with your child’s interests in mind. If you would like to honor someone special that attends SGES, or a family member for any occasion please select the link below and download the Birthday Book Club form. Once complete send it to the office and you will be invoiced for the $20.00 donation amount. Then, the week of that special event, come to chapel on Friday and see them receive their gifted book.
