Tuition & Affordability

Tuition assistance is not a loan, but it is a series of different solutions woven together to build a package that makes private school affordable, including the Georgia Promise Scholarship, Georgia Goal Scholarship Program, scholarships, and in-house tuition assistance resources. 

Tuition assistance is based on an evaluation of a family’s need. Admissions decisions are made separately from tuition assistance decisions. No specific income level disqualifies a family from tuition assistance because eligibility is based on many factors. If you feel you cannot pay all of the costs yourself, always consider the possibility of applying for tuition assistance.

Families can choose to pay an annual tuition payment, or may choose to pay monthly or quarterly. You can discuss payment options with our Admissions Director or  Director of Finance at any time.

All tuition assistance awards are for one year only. A family must re-apply each year. An award can change depending on the family's financial position. 

St. George’s uses Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to determine the amount needed for financial assistance.

1. What is the Georgia Promise Scholarship?
   The Georgia Promise Scholarship is the state of Georgia’s new school choice voucher program that provides up to $6,500 per year to eligible students in grades K-12. This program helps families moving from public schools or rising Kindergarten students choose the best educational option for their child’s needs.
2. Can I use Georgia Promise Scholarship funds for St. George’s Episcopal School tuition and fees?
   Yes! Georgia Promise Scholarship funds may be used to pay 2025-26 tuition and applicable fees at St. George’s Episcopal School.
3. Does a Georgia Promise Scholarship award guarantee enrollment at St. George’s?
   No. All new students must successfully complete the St. George’s admission process. The Georgia Promise Scholarship is a state program and is completely separate from our school’s admission application and testing requirements.
4. What is the scholarship amount?
   Scholarship amounts will be up to $6,500 per student for the 2025-26 school year.
5. Am I eligible for a Georgia Promise Scholarship?
   You may be eligible if you meet the following criteria:
   • Your child is enrolled in a Georgia public school and will be in grades K-12 in 2025-26 or is currently enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten at St. George’s.
   • Your child resides in a Georgia public school attendance zone on the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s list of the 25% lowest-performing schools.
   • You have lived in Georgia for at least one year (exceptions apply for active-duty military families).
6. Which local public schools are on the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement’s list?

7. How do I apply?
   Submit your Georgia Promise Scholarship application directly through the Georgia Promise Scholarship Program’s online portal, which will be open between March 1 and April 15, 2025. This application is separate from St. George’s tuition assistance application.
8. Does my income affect my Georgia Promise Scholarship award?
   There are no income requirements to be eligible. However, students from families earning less than 400% of the federal poverty level (approximately $120,000 for a family of four) will receive
9. May I receive a Georgia Promise Scholarship while also receiving a Georgia GOAL award?
   No. You may receive one or the other, but not both. However, if you are approved for both, our financial office can help ensure you receive the greater of the two awards.
10. How do I apply for both St. George’s tuition assistance and the Georgia Promise Scholarship?
    Each program has a separate application process:
    • St. George’s Tuition Assistance – Apply directly through St. George’s. Click here to begin your application today.

11. Once I receive a Georgia Promise Scholarship, can I expect to receive it annually?
    If you receive an initial scholarship, you will receive priority consideration over new applicants in subsequent years.
